Steve Thannhauser, M.Sc., E.I.T.

Steve Thannhauser Mr. Thannhauser provides assistance with: 

  • collision reconstruction
  • biomechanical analyses
  • product defect investigations
  • development of test procedures
  • development of alternative designs
  • defect investigations for Transport Canada Road Safety
  • collision investigations for Transport Canada Road Safety

Mr. Thannhauser has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated with honours. In addition to his engineering studies he was a member of the All Academic Team for student athletes.

He has recently completed graduate level studies in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary. While pursuing these studies, he also worked as Manager and Research Engineer of the Clinical Assessment Laboratory at the McCaig Centre for Joint Injury and Arthritis Research. He was responsible for the technical management of biomechanical testing and participated in the design of the new laboratory.

Mr. Thannhauser has experience in photography, photogrammetry and design. His experience and educational background are particularly beneficial to our injury biomechanical investigations.
